This Acceptable Use Policy explains the rules for using VoxPolitica. It forms part of the VoxPolitica Terms of Use.
1. Lawful and fair use only
You may use VoxPolitica only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of VoxPolitica, its users, third parties, or public institutions.
2. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- break the law using VoxPolitica;
- upload, submit, transmit, or store unlawful, infringing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, hateful, or malicious material;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation;
- try to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, source code, APIs, hidden endpoints, or infrastructure;
- test, scan, probe, or attack the service in a way that is unauthorised;
- distribute malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt systems or data;

- use the service in a way that could damage its reliability, security, or availability;
- bypass usage limits, export quotas, plan restrictions, or access controls;
- share credentials, resell access, or allow more than one person to use a single-user subscription;
- use bots, scripts, or automation to access subscriber-only features in a way that is excessive, hidden, or outside any permission we have given;
- perform systematic scraping or extraction that is technically abusive or substitutes for purchasing authorised access;
- reverse engineer or attempt to derive protected source code, except where the law gives you a non-excludable right to do so;
- use VoxPolitica to train, fine-tune, or benchmark a commercial machine-learning model using protected VoxPolitica-only outputs, classifications, packaging, or subscriber-only datasets without written permission;
- remove or obscure copyright, attribution, provenance, or source references; or
- imply endorsement by VoxPolitica, UK Parliament, or any public body where none exists.
3. Scraping and automated access
We recognise that some parliamentary source material is publicly available from official sources. However, use of the VoxPolitica website itself is subject to these terms.
You must not:
- scrape the service in a way that imposes unreasonable load;
- circumvent technical controls or blocks;
- bulk-download subscriber-only outputs outside the limits of your plan;
- harvest account-protected content for resale or republication at scale; or
- use automation to create a substitute or competing service from VoxPolitica’s own protected enrichments or packaging.
4. Security and responsible disclosure
If you discover a security issue, please report it responsibly to security@voxpolitica.co.uk and do not exploit it.
5. Enforcement
If you breach this policy, we may take action including:
- warning you;
- suspending or terminating access;
- blocking technical access;
- cancelling or refusing subscriptions;
- deleting saved items associated with misuse;
- preserving evidence; and
- taking legal action where appropriate.
6. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time by posting an updated version on the website.
